Who is Ownkeep for?
Smaller UK landlords who manage their own lets. A small number of properties is the right fit, including one or two. You keep each property's record, and you decide what is filed.
What is Ownkeep, in plain terms?
Landlord management software, easy to use. One workspace for your portfolio. Each property has its own data, certificates, and files. When AI filing is on, the inbox files what is clear. Otherwise you file it yourself. Unclear items wait in Needs review.
Is this just file storage?
No. The portfolio, the record on each property, and the inbox are how you run the lets. Files and dates live there so you can manage the property, not so you can keep another folder.
Is Ownkeep only for repairs?
No. It is landlord management software for the portfolio. A repair can sit on a property as a bill, a photo, or a case. It is not a repair-messaging tool, and it is not a ticket portal.
What can I do in the first version?
This site is a preview of the management workspace: your portfolio, a record on each property, and an inbox to file what comes in. There is nothing to log in to yet.
Where do the photos go?
On the property you file them to, with the certificate, the bill, or the note they belong to.
Can I export my records?
You can export a neat folder of everything, including photos, import it back, and optionally auto-backup to your own OneDrive or Google Drive.
Will this replace my spreadsheet or my deposit scheme?
It is where you manage each property's files, dates, and history. It does not hold the deposit.
Do I have to stop using WhatsApp?
No. People can keep writing to you as they do now. Ownkeep is where you manage the property record. It does not ask tenants to move into a new chat app.
Will it text my tenant or my contractor?
It can draft a message. Nothing is sent until you approve it.
Who writes those drafts?
The product can write a draft. There is no property manager sitting behind it. You read it and you decide if it goes out.
Do you collect the rent?
No. Ownkeep does not take a cut of the rent and it does not act as your agent. Dates and money notes can sit with the record. Collection stays with you.
How much does it cost?
We are not publishing a price. The waitlist does not show a plan and it does not take payment. When there is a price, we will say so.
What happens to my email address?
We use it to tell you when you can try Ownkeep, and for related product updates. We do not sell it. The privacy note has the short version.
Can I log in and try it?
Not yet. This site is a preview of the product. Join the waitlist if you want a note when there is something to use.
